Objectives
The primary objective was to deploy a resilient, enterprise-grade retail POS infrastructure across 12 TotalEnergies service station marts in Cambodia.
The project was engineered to achieve the following core objectives:
‣ Accelerate Mart Checkout Speeds: Reduce cashier customer turnaround to under 5 seconds with Quick Cash and dynamic KHQR payments.
‣ Standardize Dual-Currency Accounting: Automate simultaneous USD and KHR cash handling with live National Bank of Cambodia exchange rates.
‣ Unify Multi-Branch Retail Operations: Centralize SKU pricing, barcode catalogs, and promotional campaigns across all 12 branches nationwide.
‣ Ensure 24/7 Zero-Downtime Availability: Maintain continuous local offline transaction processing even during telecom and cloud network dropouts.
‣ Prevent Multi-Warehouse Stock Shrinkage: Deliver real-time stock transfer visibility and automated audit reconciliation between station depots and marts.

Key Outcomes
The deployed Retail Mart POS System Cambodia has established new standards for retail speed, cash governance, and operational uptime across Bonjour Mart.
Key outcomes include:
‣ 90% Reduction in Checkout Delays: Quick Cash calculation buttons eliminated manual change math across mixed USD and KHR banknotes.
‣ 100% Instant KHQR Payment Matching: Dynamic QR codes on customer-facing screens confirm settlements instantly across all Cambodian banks.
‣ Single-Click Central Price Synchronization: National product price updates and promotional discounts deploy across 12 branches simultaneously in seconds.
‣ 99.98% High Availability Uptime: Dual-engine architecture guarantees cashiers continue ringing sales without interruption during internet outages.
‣ Zero Cross-Branch Stock Variances: Automated end-of-shift cash drawer balancing and real-time inventory decrementing prevent leakage.
Challenges
Operating high-volume convenience marts attached to 24-hour petrol stations creates extreme operational and transactional demands.
Key operational challenges included:
‣ Peak-Hour Cash Register Bottlenecks: Commuters and travelers required lightning-fast checkout to prevent long lines spilling into station forecourts.
‣ Dual-Currency Cash Calculation Complexity: Cashiers frequently struggled with counting mixed denominations of US Dollars and Khmer Riel, causing end-of-day register shortages.
‣ Fragmented Multi-Branch Price Management: Managing promotions across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville via disconnected systems caused inconsistent retail pricing.
‣ Fragile Internet Dependency: Remote highway stations suffered intermittent internet connectivity, risking complete retail downtime on cloud-only POS systems.
‣ High Staff Turnover & Training Overhead: Frequent shift rotations demanded an intuitive, foolproof touch POS interface that new staff could master in minutes.
